    Swiss soldiers are active in various functions in the field of aviation. These members are responsible for the daily mission planning of the Swiss Air Force Detachment in support of the Kosovo Force (KFOR) among other tasks. They also take part in international coordination and serve as the link to the Swiss Air Force. Additional management positions in the aviation department handle the Aerial Port of Disembarkation Centre (APOC) administration and the safeguarding of operational functionality of the Passenger Reception Centre (PRC). The aviation department is tasked with collaborating with the civilian operator of the Pristina Airport. In the function of Air Operator (AirOps) a Swiss Armed Forces service member is responsible for the processing of the national logistic flights.

    • Individuals with completed vocational apprenticeship, training or university diploma in the field of aviation, airport management or air traffic control.
    • Some functions in the field of aviation are available to individuals without a military officer rank.

      Interested women and men can apply to the SWISSINT Competence Centre for a peace-promoting mission abroad within the framework of the Swiss Armed Forces. We are looking for experts from a wide variety of professions. The basic requirements differ depending on the mission and type of operation.
