    The National Support Element (NSE) of the SWISSCOY provides operational services for KFOR as well as national services for the contingent. The NSE is structured within the logistic platoon, the engineering platoon, the transport platoon as well as the commando. The latter undertakes the command of a company and is responsible for the service operations, attendance of service personnel and accounting. The NSE company commanding officer carries the responsibility of all personnel, administration, organization and disciplinary matters. Furthermore, the company commander functions in an operational role as commanding officer of the Freedom of Movement Detachment (FoMD) of KFOR during operations or trainings.

      SWISSCOY in Kosovo is the Swiss Armed Forces largest peace support operation to date. 195 men and women undertake a wide variety of functions in support of Kosovo Force (KFOR).

    • From application to assignment abroad

      Interested women and men can apply to the SWISSINT Competence Centre for a peace-promoting mission abroad within the framework of the Swiss Armed Forces. We are looking for experts from a wide variety of professions. The basic requirements differ depending on the mission and type of operation.
