    The drivers in the transport platoon of the SWISSCOY are responsible for the smooth and secure transport of goods, materials and personnel. From personnel vehicles to 55-ton cranes and even armoured freight lorries, these functions maintain an expansive vehicle fleet. Transport drivers are deployed for national as well as international assignments. For example, assignments range from convoy procession to and from Switzerland, transport of dangerous goods as well as operations and trainings with the Freedom of Movement Detachment (FoMD) of KFOR. Additionally, the tasks for this function includes vehicle and system maintenance.

    Sought after profiles

    • Freight truck and coach drivers, road transport specialists or individuals with a military background or training as motorist.
    • Appropriate military training or background is required for positions as platoon or section commander.

      SWISSCOY in Kosovo is the Swiss Armed Forces largest peace support operation to date. 215 men and women undertake a wide variety of functions in support of Kosovo Force (KFOR).
